Lindsay has over 23 years’ experience working in a variety of social care settings; her early experience includes working therapeutically in a refuge with children. Also developed a day service to homeless people in Sheffield. More recently Lindsay worked for 14 years in family support services often supporting families where family members have disabilities.
Lindsay has worked in the North East for the past 11 years developing crisis intervention services and family support services . Lindsay is trained Play Therapist, trained Option 2 Crisis Intervention worker, and has specialised for many years in supporting people experiencing domestic abuse.
At Inspired support Lindsay has been working on a number of client’s projects supporting them in App development, Art projects, drama work along with cooking and budgeting. Along with supporting clients to develop strategies to reduce anxiety and stress, and improve their emotional wellbeing. Lindsay has also worked with clients on developing healthy relationships, domestic abuse and friendship work.
Lindsay is a local artist living in Haydon Bridge, paints and draws, and is inspired in her art work by the countryside, and produces art using the land itself. Lindsay predominately produces art work, which highlights social issues, and is currently work on an exhibition to highlight the work aid workers working with refugees. Lindsay enjoys walking, cycling gardening, and cooking.
